PRINCIPLES OF VICTORIOUS LIVING FOR TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY CHRISTIANS

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This is a study of Divine Principles of Good Living revealed for people of all ages within the Ten Words of God through Moses. This is essentially a study for laymen, ministers and teachers of the Church, highlighting vital principles which govern healthy, happy living. The English text will be studied with insights from the Hebrew.

Special emphasis is placed on (1) the principles of good living as they are given by Moses, (2) these principles as they are illustrated and defined in the life and work of Jesus, (3) and these principles as they are ultimately applied to us today within the church.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

○ Increase our understanding and appreciation of the Ten Commandments, their setting in Exodus and Deuteronomy, their content, their influence upon Jesus, and their relevance for us today

○ Probe critical and valuable theological and social issues raised by the Ten Commandments

○ Apply the extremely relevant and inspiring insights of these words to our own Christian life and faith today

Dr. Ronald E. Cottle

Dr. Ronald E. Cottle is the Founder and President Emeritus of Christian Life School of Theology (CLST Global), the Founder and President of Beacon College in Columbus, Georgia, the Founder and President of Cottle College and a former President of the Assemblies of God Seminary in Springfield, Missouri. He received a diploma in Theology from Southeastern Bible Institute, Lakeland, Florida, a B.A. in English-Religion, Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida, the M-Div. from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, Columbia, South Carolina, and both the Ph.D. in Religion and the M.S.Ed. and Ed.D. in Higher Education from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. Dr. Cottle and his wife of sixty-plus years, Joanne reside in Columbus, Georgia and have one son, Ron Jr.
